This project was supported by USAID. The goal of the project was to conduct gap assessment in the Urban WASH sector in India by key stakeholder interviews in Kolkata, Chennai, Delhi. Assess financing mechanisms for Viability Gap Funding (VGF), engagement with officials of Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs to understand the challenges and opportunities in implementation of Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban). A report titled: ‘State of Urban Water and Sanitation in India’ has been published, where MGC experts were the lead authors.
