Climate induced mobilization of Persistent Organic Pollutants in River Ganga (INDONOPOP): India- Norway cooperation project supported by Research Council of Norway

In this project, pesticidal POPs, Perfluoro Alkyl Sulphonates (PFAS), Pharmaceuticals and Personal Care Products, Artificial Sweeteners were analysed in surface and ground water. Several POPs were found in the groundwater in the cities along the river Ganga. The policy recommendations from his project have been included in the Handbook of Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change of Govt of India.
